Commercial Pilot License

Objective

The goal of the CPL program is to ensure you meet the professional standards required for commercial flight.

Training System

Our training program is conducted under CCAR 2.3.6.2 of the Curaçao Civil Aviation Regulations and includes 20 hours of flight training in your selected aircraft.

This training is typically conducted on the Cessna 172 or Tecnam P2012. Alternatively the Cessna 152 can be used as a cost-effective alternative

  • The Cessna 152 has the following physical limitations:
    - Maximum student weight: 85 kg
    - Maximum student height: 180 cm

    If you exceed these limits, you can upgrade to a Cessna 172, which offers more cabin space and greater payload capacity.

  • Included are:
    20 pre-flight briefings
    40 hours Flight Instruction
    40 hours Aircraft Rental
    20 post-flight briefings

  • The following items are not included in the base training package:
    - Pilot supplies
    - Practical exam fees
    - Landing & navigation fees
    - Fuel and oil surcharges

    We’re happy to provide a full cost breakdown upon request.

  • Some trainees may require additional training hours to obtain the necessary skills required for the practical exam.

Requirements

Prerequisites

To begin your CPL upgrade flight training, you must:

  1. Successfully completed both the Private Pilot License (PPL) and Instrument Rating (IR) programs;

  2. Logged a minimum of 180 total flight hours, including at least 80 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC);

  3. Hold a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate issued by an authorized aviation medical examiner.

    These prerequisites ensure you are both medically qualified and have the theoretical and practical experience needed to progress toward a career in commercial aviation.

During instrument flight training you will fly to various islands throughout the Caribbean.
