Restricted Private Pilot License
With an RPPL, you can enjoy the freedom of flying an airplane locally. you can even take your friends and family onboard.
Objective
The goal of the RPPL program is to equip you with the skills to operate an aircraft safely under both normal and emergency conditions.
This license:
- Allows you to fly within local airspace
- Permits carrying friends & family
- Does not allow commercial flying.
If your aim is to fly recreationally and stay close to home, the RPPL is all you need.
Want to go further? The RPPL can also be your first step toward a full Private Pilot License (PPL), which has no distance restrictions.
Training System
Our training program is conducted under CCAR 2.3.4.2 of the Curaçao Civil Aviation Regulations and includes 30 hours of flight training in your selected aircraft.

Initial training is typically conducted on the Cessna 152, a reliable and cost-effective trainer aircraft.

The Cessna 152 has the following physical limitations:
- Maximum student weight: 85 kg
- Maximum student height: 180 cm
If you exceed these limits, you can upgrade to a Cessna 172, which offers more cabin space and greater payload capacity. -

25 pre-flight briefings
30 hours Flight Instruction
30 hours Aircraft Rental (in selected aircraft).
25 post-flight briefings -
The following items are not included in the base training package:
- Pilot supplies
- Practical exam fees
- Landing fees
- Fuel and oil surchargesWe’re happy to provide a full cost breakdown upon request.

Some trainees may require additional training hours to obtain the necessary skills required for the practical exam.
Requirements
Prerequisites
To begin your RPPL flight training, you must:
Have successfully completed the approved Private Pilot Groundschool, and hold a valid Class 2 Medical Certificate issued by an authorized aviation medical examiner.
These requirements ensure you are medically fit to fly and have the necessary theoretical foundation to begin practical flight training.
